Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted and assisted by a representative from Parikrama Treks. Transfer to your hotel and take the day to rest and recover from your journey.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Tibet Visa Processing

Embark on a day of sightseeing in the culturally rich Kathmandu Valley. In the evening, there will be a short briefing about the upcoming adventure on the Best Journey of Tibet Motorcycle Circuit. Additionally, you will have a motorbike test ride to ensure everything is in order.

Day 03: Kathmandu Exploration and Finalize Tibet Visa

Continue exploring Kathmandu and use this day to finalize any remaining Tibet visa processing. Take advantage of the vibrant atmosphere and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. A Short Briefing about Tibet Motorcycle Circuit in the evening. 

Day 04: Ride from Kathmandu to Rasuwagadi (150 km / 7 hrs)

Begin your motorcycle adventure with a ride from Kathmandu to Rasuwagadi, covering a distance of 150 km over approximately 7 hours. Experience the thrill of the road, which includes off-road sections.

Day 05: Ride from Rasuwagadi to Kerung (50 km / 2 hrs)

Cross the Nepal-Tibet border and ride to the first Tibetan city, Kerung, covering 50 km in about 2 hours. Begin to immerse yourself in the unique landscapes and culture of Tibet.

Day 06: Ride from Kerung to Drongpa Town (101 km / 3 hrs)

Take a scenic ride to Drongpa, a quaint town on the main road from Saga to Darchen. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes and the unique charm of this Tibetan settlement.

Day 07: Ride from Drongpa to Lake Mansarovar (255 km / 6 hrs)

Embark on a journey to discover the largest freshwater lake at high altitude, Lake Mansarovar. Cover a distance of 255 km over approximately 6 hours, taking in the breathtaking scenery.

Day 08: Ride from Lake Manasarovar to Paryang (270 km / 4 hrs)

Retrace your route to Paryang, crossing Mayum La pass and encountering numerous bridges along the way. Enjoy the varied landscapes and the thrill of the ride.

Day 09: Ride from Paryang to Saga (250 km / 4 hrs)

Continue your ride to Saga via Dzongba, a recent settlement. Check into a guesthouse upon arrival, and take the rest of the day to relax or explore the surroundings.

Day 10: Ride from Saga to Shigatse (450 km / 8 hrs)

Experience a day of riding through high passes adorned with Buddhist prayer flags. Encounter Tibetan nomadic life, beautiful lakes, and mountains. Visit the Tashilampo monastery before settling in for the night.

Day 11: Ride from Shigatse to Lhasa (360 km / 5 hrs)

Enjoy a short visit to Khumbula Stupa and Phalkhor Monastery before heading to Lhasa. Traverse the scenic route via Yamdrok Lake and high passes of Kora la (5010M) and Kambala (4794 m).

Day 12: Rest day in Lhasa

Explore major historical sites in Lhasa, including the iconic Potala Palace, Jokhang temple, and the vibrant Barkhor Bazaar. Take the day to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Tibet.

Day 13: Ride from Lhasa to Gyantse (265 km / 5 hrs)

Enjoy a scenic ride with fantastic views of turquoise blue waters at Yamdrok Lake. Pass through Kambala Pass (4890M), Karola (5030m), and visit Palchok Monastery and Khumbum Stupa in Gyantse.

Day 14: Ride from Gyantse to Sakya (300 km / 5 hrs)

Experience a straightforward yet scenic ride along the Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra River). Absorb the beauty of the Tibetan countryside as you make your way to Sakya.

Day 15: Ride from Sakya to Rongbuk (295 km / 5 hrs) with Hike to Everest Base Camp

Embark on a scenic ride through the Tibetan countryside to Rongbuk. En route, cross the Lalungla pass. Upon arrival, take a hike to Everest Base Camp and soak in the awe-inspiring views.

Day 16: Ride from Everest Base Camp to Tingri (80 km / 4 hrs)

After breakfast, visit Everest Base Camp if missed the day before. Follow the dirt road south along the Dzakar Chu (river) as you ride to Tingri.

Day 17: Motorbike Back to Kerung (230 km / 6 hrs)

Return to Kerung on your motorcycle, celebrating your last night together with the Tibetan guide. Reflect on the incredible journey and the memories created.

Day 18: Motorbike back to Kathmandu (124 km / 8 hrs)

Descend to the Nepal-Tibet border, complete immigration formalities, and ride back to Kathmandu via Shyaprubes. Enjoy the final stretch of your motorcycle adventure.

Day 19: Departure
