DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a Parikrama Treks representative and transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to rest and adjust to the new environment.

Day 02: Sightseeing and Tibet Visa Preparation

Explore Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks today. We will also submit your passport for the Chinese group visa. A briefing about the upcoming Tibet Jeep Overland Tour will be provided.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (2,400 m) – 126 km / 7 hrs

Depart early from Kathmandu to journey through the rugged Langtang National Park. Arrive in Syabrubesi by evening.

Day 04: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kerung (3,700 m) – 28 km / 1 hr

Complete customs formalities at the Nepal-China border. Continue to the small Tibetan town of Kerung for the night.

Day 05: Drive from Kerung to Shegar (4,280 m) – 340 km / 7 hrs

Today’s drive includes crossing several mountain passes, including the high Kungthang La Pass (5,236 m). Enjoy the scenic views along the way.

Day 06: Drive from Shegar to Shigatse (3,950 m) – 240 km / 6 hrs

Travel through picturesque landscapes to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city. Explore the city upon arrival.

Day 07: Drive from Shigatse to Gyantse (3,900 m) – 90 km / 2 hrs

Arrive in the charming town of Gyantse, known for its traditional Tibetan culture. Experience its pastoral beauty and historic sites.
