Saga Dawa is a significant festival celebrated by Buddhists, particularly in Tibet and the Himalayan regions. Taking place on the full moon day of the fourth Tibetan month (usually in May or June), it holds immense cultural and religious importance. This festival coincides with our specially curated Kailash Mansarovar Yatra tours for 2025 and 2026.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra begins in Kathmandu upon obtaining the Tibet Group Visa (TGV). Allow 3-4 working days for visa processing at the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. Arrive in Kathmandu at least three to four working days before the trip to complete necessary visa procedures. Use your free time to explore the city or take a short hike, preparing yourself for the spiritual adventure that awaits.

Enjoy a leisurely day to prepare for your upcoming journey. After breakfast, explore the vibrant markets of Thamel to acquire any necessary items for the trip. Later, embark on a half-day city tour to visit the sacred Budhanilkantha Temple and the lively Monkey Temple. Simultaneously, we’ll handle the processing of Tibet group visas at the Chinese Embassy.
Embark on a full day of exploration, starting with visits to the revered Pashupatinath Temple and the iconic Boudhanath Stupa. Conclude your day by discovering the historical charm of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, collect your passports with the newly acquired Tibet group visas and a short briefing about Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
Commence the Kailash Parikrama Mansarovar Yatra by driving early morning to Rasuwa Gadi, a journey of 7-8 hours. Traverse through picturesque landscapes, passing terraced fields, rivers, and rustic Nepalese villages before entering the Langtang National Park Area.
Take a day to acclimatize at Kyirong. After breakfast, explore the nearby village, allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitudes.
Embark on a scenic drive of approximately 169 km, taking 6-7 hours to reach Saga. The journey offers breathtaking views of high mountain passes, with panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscapes.
Travel from Saga to the sacred Lake Manasarovar, situated just 30 km south of Mount Kailash. En route, stop at the expansive Peiku-tso lake, crossing high mountain passes. Explore the mythological significance of Rakshas Tal, where Ravana is believed to have prayed to Shiva.
Devote the day to exploration, immersing yourself in the serenity of Lake Manasarovar. Take a holy bath, hike to Tsui Monastery, or visit the natural hot springs near the lake. Later, drive to Darchen for lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Embark on the first day of the Kailash Parikrama by driving 13 km to Tarboche, the starting point for the sacred Kora. Trek through the picturesque Lha Chu Valley, surrounded by green meadows and streams, with Mount Kailash towering above.
Embark on the second day of the Kailash Parikrama, traversing the Dolma Chu Valley towards the challenging Dolma La pass at 5,645 meters. Descend to Zutul-puk after reaching the summit, surrounded by prayer flags and breathtaking landscapes.
Complete the final day of the Kailash Parikrama, crossing streams and the Bharka plain before reaching Darchen. Board a waiting vehicle to Saga, marking the end of the sacred journey.
Post breakfast, drive to Gyirong, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way.
After breakfast, embark on a 24 km downhill drive to reach Chinese immigration at Rasuwa Gadi bridge. Complete the immigration process and walk through the bridge, where a vehicle from the Nepalese side awaits. Transfer to Kathmandu, concluding your memorable Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
