16 DAYS EVEREST BASE CAMP GUIDED HIMALAYAN MOTORBIKE TOUR ADVENTURE

Riding on North Face Everest Motorcycle tour from Nepal to Tibet Himalayan is the unique Himalayas Adventure. This amazing wonder lets you travel to two different country natures. Normal visits to the Tibet terrain are so extraordinary. What if we include it with a motorbike? Wouldn’t it be more than one can expect? With open roads, white Mountains, motorbike experience to Tibet is unlike anything. With the destruction of the Tibet- Nepal roadway during the earthquake in 2015. Tibet Tour was impossible and need to be arranged via airway with all the bikes transported to Tibet.

Everest Motorbike tours to Tibet Book Now 2022 & 2023, Himalayan is once again available with the new road. Now we start our entry starting from the new border located in the Langtang region of Nepal. This tour starts and finishes in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. It combines the unique experience of two countries: Nepal and the Tibet region of China. We run 2 tours departing in May and September. Since only one roadway is possible for now we will make an entry to Tibet from Syabrubashi to Kyrung. We reach Xigatse and then we reach the capital city of Tibet “Lhasa”. While returning back we start riding our main destination “Everest Base Camp.” This tour can also be referred to as “Royal Enfield Himalayan Motorbike Tour” as we use Royal Enfield Bike on this tour.

You will be on the road for days traveling from city to city. Riders can experience something extraordinary, something unique. Our route takes us along the ancient Silk Road. On this trail, we see awesome scenery and breathtaking views that are way too good to resist. Itinerary

01
Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu at International Airport (before 11 am), meet by our officer with a warm welcome and transfer to the hotel. At the hotel, you should fill in the Chinese visa form and we will collect it along with your passport and one color photo (48 mm x 35 mm size) to apply for a visa in the Chinese Embassy. The rest of the day is free on your own or for buying or hiring anything necessary (bike gears or clothing’s etc) from a shop in Thamel or other near markets. Overnight at the Hotel.

Chinese Visa Preparation day, Sightseeing & Bike Introduction

After an early breakfast in the hotel, we will go for a city tour of Heritage monument sites in Kathmandu valley: Bouddhanath Stupa (the biggest Buddhist stupa of Asia) &Pashupatinath Temple (the biggest holy temple of Hindus dedicated to Lord Shiva). In the evening, we will do the bike introduction followed by a briefing of the tour. Overnight at the Hotel.

Motorbike ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi / Ramche (2135m,186km,6-7hrs

Enjoy a steep winding descent to Trishuli with the beautiful scenery to match and ride along rolling hills, deep forests, and flowing streams. Negotiate traffic out of the Kathmandu city to the Ring Road cross-section - Balaju. From here, follow the Nagarjun highway to Kakani with the winding and narrow forested road. From here it is a steep winding descent till Trishuli but the scenery is fantastic. Deeply forested areas, with clear flowing streams and waterfalls, provide visitors with what Nepal is all about. The beauty of the area is not easily forgotten. The rolling hills, the Trishuli river, ethnic villages, suspension bridges all make it a very interesting ride. Here we stop for lunch. After lunch head north and continue the ride to Dhunche. From here steep descend on a winding and snaky trail till Syabrubesi. Upon arrival at Syabrubesi, check in to the lodge. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore around the village. Note: one of our tour officers will collect the passport & visa from the Embassy at 10.30 am and drive to Syabrubesi and will meet you all there and hand over the documents. Overnight at the Lodge.

Ride to Tibet Border Cross – Kyirong Town 2700m (Approx. 44 Km/ 3 hrs)

With Tibet on Beijing time 2.15 hrs ahead, an early departure for the Tibet border at Kerung, after breakfast ride (approx. 30 KM) - Nepal / Tibet border, the last border town, complete Nepal / China Immigration formalities and meet our Tibetan guide and driver. Finally, Proceed for China Custom clearance for the motorcycles and after completion, load up the gear on the waiting Land cruiser / Mini Truck and ride for another 24 kilometers to Kyirong town. Kyirong means happy village in Tibetan. Paga Monastery, Chagar Monastery, and Qiangzhen Monastery are the main monasteries of Kyirong, and KyirongJiangcun Nature Reserve is the famous beauty spot. Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Ride to Old Dingri - Shegar, 4050mts, 180Km

A ride will start through the uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of the Tibetan landscape offering a sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. From where, weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Cho Oyu (8201 M) & Mt Xishapagma (8012M) but dwarfed by the Vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can enjoy the magnificence of Mt. Everest (8,848 M).Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Ride to Lhatse - Shigatse, 3900 mt, 240 Km

You will start your tour at around 8.30 Am from Dingri and drive through one big mountain pass, Gyatso la 5220Mts, and some beautiful villages. You will take an unusual route from Lhatse to Shigatse through old Lhatse and Phuntsoling monastery where you have less traffic and more off the beaten trail. Visit Phuntsholing monastery. Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Ride to Shigatse - Lhasa, 3650mts, 280Km

Am Visit TashiLhunpo monastery which is the seat of the Panchen Lama and the largest Gelukpa monastery in the Tsang region. After lunch, ride along the Yarlung Tsangpo river which is started from the western part of Tibet near Kailash and it flows through the Tsang region, Nyingtri, the eastern forest region of Tibet and finally, it flows into the Bay of Bengal. There is a beautiful landscape on the way with sand done. Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang temple, and Bharkor Bazar

POTALA PALACE the Potala is considered one of the great wonders of the world. It is held sacred by Tibetans as the former residence of successive Dalai Lamas and is one of Tibet's most holy pilgrimage sites. A palace was originally built in the 7th century by King SongtsenGampo and was believed to have been nine stories high, but around the 9th century, it is believed to have been destroyed by a big fire. The present Potala Palace was constructed by the great fifth Dalai Lama in the 17th century after he became ruler of Tibet. The Potala Palace is divided into two sections, the White Palace (completed in 1653) and the Red palace (completed 1694). It has more than one thousand rooms and is thirteen stories high. The White Palace was secular in nature and mainly used for government administration, whilst the Red palace was mainly used for religious functions and still has numerous chapels, including those containing reliquary stupas of the successive Dalai Lamas which are richly decorated in gold, silver, and semi-precious stones. JOKHANG TEMPLE the Jokhang is Tibet’s most sacred temple, the main point of pilgrims from the entire Tibetan plateau. Located at the heart of the ancient town of Lhasa, it was built in the 7th century by the Tibetan King SongtsenGampo's queen Bhrikuti on a site identified by Queen Wencheng according to her geomantic calculation. The temple is 3 stories high and it is constructed with enormous chapels including the most sacred statue of Budha Shakyamuni, enshrined. It has around 70 monks nowadays. ANCIENT BHARKOR STREET is the most sacred pilgrimage site in Lhasa and it is full of pilgrims from dawn till dusk. There are four huge prayer flags situated in Bhakor street which surrounds the Jokhang, known respectively as GadhenDharchen in the northeast, JuyakDharchen in the west, KelsangDharchen in the southwest, and SharKyaringDharchen in the southeast. Barkhor street is the most active market in all Tibet and it is possible to purchase traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, modern goods, books, music, clothing, spices, fresh meat, and vegetables. Visit Drepung& Sera monasteries

DREPUNG MONASTERY is the largest monastery in Tibet, built in the 15th century by JamyangChoeje who is one of Tsongkapa's foremost disciples. The monastery is beautifully located up in a hill at the distance of 7 Km from the old section of the city and it is the biggest monastery in Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery has four main colleges with numerous small chapels and house chapels, known as Khangtsen in Tibetan. There are around six hundred monks nowadays. SERA MONASTERY was founded around the 15th century by JamchenChoeje who is another famous disciple of Tsongka pa and it is the second-largest monastery of Tibet. There are three big colleges with numerous chapels and house chapels. The most attraction to visit this monastery is to see the monks debating which hold from 3-5 Pm every day apart from Sunday.Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Lhasa-Yamdrok lake-Gyantse, 3950mts, 260Km

You will start your tour at around 9 AM from your hotel and then ride towards Gyangtse through 3 big mountain passes, Kampa La, Karo La, Simila respectively. Karola is the highest pass among them which is over 5000Mts with its most beautiful glaciers, beautiful Yamdrok lake emerged as coral color from the top of Gampala pass. You will have your lunch at Nakartse country which is just between the Yamdrok Lake and Karola glaciers. Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Ride to Shigatse-Sakya (4050mts, 240Km)

Ride from your hotel to Palchoe monastery which is just 5 minutes, Park all the motorbikes at the entry gate of the monastery while you are visiting the monastery. Our driver will take care of the bikes there. Palchoe monastery is one of the second largest monasteries in the Tsang region and it has more than 700 hundred years of history, built by a local chieftain called RabtenKunsang. Within the monastery, you will also visit Kumbum stupa which is the largest stupa in central Tibet, also built by RebtanKunsang. After the sightseeing, ride to Shigatse, and on the way, you can see huge farming land with flocks of villages on both sides of the road. They grow lots of different kinds of crops and vegetables so it is one of the biggest farming lands in Tibet. Drive continuously to Sakya through Tsola pass, 4500m at the distance of 150km with a very good road condition. Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Ride to Dingri - Rongbuk monastery. (5000Mts/270Km)

You will start your tour at 9 AM and a quick visit to Sakya monastery. Drive through Dingle pass 5000Mts from which you will have a fantastic view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu respectively which are over 8000Mts. After lunch in Rongbuk monastery, you will visit the world's highest monastery, Rongbuk. Walk up to Everest base camp which takes you an hour and a half. Explore Everest base camp and back to Rongbuk monastery. When the sun sets, you will have a fantastic view of Mount Everest in the red-colored sunshade. Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Explore Everest base camp and Rongbuk monastery-Kyirong, 230Km

Witness a fantastic view of Mount Everest in the red-colored sunshade when the sun rises on Everest. After breakfast, visit the world's highest monastery of Rongpu and ride to Everest Base camp and enjoy the most beautiful view of Mount Everest and take group photos with motorbikes with a background of mount Everest in your photos. After finishing all activities, return to Rongpu monastery. Late afternoon, ride across another Bangla pass, 5000mts and descend down in the valley and get to old Dingri. Old Dingri is one of the popular places to stop a night in order to view Mount Everest for tourists especially for those who are unable to go to Mount Everest because of altitude problems. Continue to Kyirong and last night in Tibet.Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Ride from Kyirong-Syabrubesi-Kathmandu, 170Km / 7hrs).

After breakfast, ride down 24kms to the border of Nepal and Tibet. Here the porters will transfer the luggage to the Nepal side and we bid farewell to our Guide and driver from Tibet. Complete Chinese Immigration and then cross the small makeshift bridge and enter Rasuwagadhi, Nepal. Here we are met by representatives from Nepal to assist and complete Nepal Customs and Immigration. Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.

Leisure day in Kathmandu. Evening farewell dinner.

Free day to relax or explore around the town for the souvenir shopping or sightseeing tour. Overnight at Hotel on twin sharing with breakfast.
