Dhorpatan trek is a pleasant trek through mixed country and views of impressive mountains. The spacious Dhorpatan valley is refreshing and Jaljala is the best viewpoint to see the amazing views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurnas, Mt. Fishtail, and Manasalu range with good sunrise. The major ethnic groups of this region are Magar, Thakali, Braman, Chettri, and Sunar.
The amalgamation of different ethnic groups has resulted in a mixed pattern of cultures. The vegetations include fir, pine birch, rhododendron, hemlock, oak juniper, and others along with animals like Leopard, goral, serow, Himalayan Thar, black bear, barking deer, etc.
Today we take an early breakfast and leave for a drive to Beni. We will drive along the beautiful Trishuli river bank. Later we take a drive along the lush green valley of the highway. Once we reach Beni check-in at the hotel.
Today we take a drive of 2-3 hours to reach Darbang. Here we will meet with the remaining crew and get ready for the trek. Darbang is famous for manufacturing Khukuri, a traditional curved Nepali weapon. From Darbang we start trek towards Dharapani.
Today we will reach the elevation of 2250 meters. On the way, we will walk through the lush green forest full of rhododendron forest. We explore the streams and gorges in the remote area. Later we will reach Lamsung village. This place offers one with dramatic and intense views of its surrounding.
Today we will walk on the hidden treasure destination of the Dhorpatan area. We pass through several rhododendrons and oak forests. The Himalayan vistas include Dhaulagiri, Gurju, Chure, and Putha among many others. Jaljala offers a view of the entire range of high mountains. It was also the war zone during the Maoist invasion against King's rules.
Trekking we start with a descend to Khahare Khola and crossing it. Then we continue along the bank of a stream and walk past thick forests. Dhorpatan is a stunning deserted countryside. Its characteristic is the Wildlife Reserve with stunning, uneven areas. It is also a paradise for the hunters to hunt Blue Sheep.
Today we will explore Nepal's only Hunting reserve " Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve". We will explore nearby sporting sites of endangered species. Later we start a trek to Phagune Phedi. ON today's trail we will hike through dense jungles, mountains, and landscapes.
Today we will pass through the beautiful Rhododendron forest. We can also encounter some wildlife while hiking through the forested area. Later we walk on the bliss of flat land to reach Gurjaghat.
Today we ascend from Gurjaghat in the initial phase and later take downward. The trekking trail will make you stroll into the jungles and gorges. The journey from Gurjaghat to Patichaur takes 6 hours.
On the next day, you will move from Patichaur to Darbang which takes 5 hours. We will take the same route which we took at the start. All through the light jungle and gorges, you will set your mark.
Today we will drive all the way to Pokhara. It is the heart city for western trekking in Nepal. Here you can visit some of the natural sightseeing destinations. One can also enjoy a beer and boating in Phewa Lake.
Today we will walk all the way to Kathmandu following Gandaki and Trishuli River. One can enjoy the lush green valley and cultivable land on the route.
